A researcher at Lab’Urba and a professor at the Institut Français d’Urbanisme (University of Paris-East), Stéphanie Leheis is a city planner and a geographer. Her research deals with transportation infrastructure, how it is conceptualized, and how it is connected to territories. In her thesis, which she defended in 2011 at the Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, she examined the history of beltways and urban bypasses from the standpoint of urban change. She is currently working on the reassignment of urban highways and infrastructure covering. She also works on the management of university campuses and relationships between cities and universities.
